Life Is Better With Clean Hands

Aug 24, 2021

There are a lot of things that go into getting ready for back to school.  Things like haircuts, new backpacks, #2 pencils, Elmer’s, pencil holders that they never use, scented markers, and all kinds of new clothes because they’ve grown so much over the summer.  As this exciting time of year comes about, now would be a good time to remind kids of ALL ages the importance of washing their hands.  It can be one of those rituals you do ~ remind them to brush their teeth, to grab something for breakfast, and to WASH YOUR HANDS.

It’s also a good time to remember that regular handwashing is one of the best ways to remove germs, avoid getting sick, and prevent the spread of germs to others. Whether you are at home, at work, traveling, or out in the community, handwashing with soap and water can protect you and your family.

The CDC has a new handwashing campaign titled ‘Life is Better With Clean Hands’.  It’s pretty great.  The information, including posters and flyers, are free to anyone that wants them.  You can either download them or order them on the CDC website. I urge you to take a look at and order some posters for your home, business or school.  Here’s the link:

We truly learn habits as kids so it’s a really good time to teach ‘em when they’re young.  And Harvest + Harmony has all kinds of small batch, cold pressed soaps to help you keep your hands clean. Germs are everywhere. Make handwashing with soap and water a healthy habit to protect yourself and your family from getting sick. https://go.usa.gov/xV9TX #KeepHandsClean

It’s such a simple thing to do, yet really makes a difference.
